Fitness for Older Adults
We at JJ Fitness and Wellbeing firmly believe that exercise can benefit you regardless of your age.
Ageing is associated with many chronic diseases such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, osteoarthritis, diabetes, obesity and respiratory disorders. Regular exercise can not only reduce the risk of getting many of these diseases but also:
- Contribute to healthy bones, muscles and joints
- Reduced falls among older adults
- Decreased risk of stroke
- Reduces the symptoms of anxiety and depression.
We appreciate that many older adults find the gym environment intimidating and this is why many of our existing clients opt for one of our trainers to visit them in the comfort of their own home.
